Featuring a large single Anenome the Majestic Anenome Silk Painting Greetings Card nicely contrasts the bright red of the flower petals with the vivid green stem and leaves. The colours are delightful in this fresh floral scene from a Japanese inspired print taken from an original serti silk painting by Pat Willard.
Serti silk painting is a means of enclosing the flow of dyes with a tube of gutta (which dries waterproof) on stretched silk. Serti (French for encircle) painting emerged in Japan during the 7th century and was then taught to the French by the Russian Tsar’s family at the beginning of the 20th century. Pat Willard learned to paint whilst on holiday near Bordeaux in 1981 and has work in various collections across the UK as well as Japan, America Australia and Denmark!
The Majestic Anenome Silk Painting Greetings Card has been printed using vegetable based inks on FSC accredited board sourced in the UK from sustainable sources, it includes a white envelope and has been left blank for your own special message! Why not frame it after use as a card and create a delightful little picture!
